In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, thousands of Londoners would go on the annual pilgrimage to Epsom Downs Racecourse to witness The Greatest Flat Race in the World. It truly was London's Big Day Out. In 2009 John Sandys, founder of The Derby Walk, thought it was time to bring this tradition back, and so began the 20 mile walk for charity...

Starting at Tattersall’s Tavern in Knightsbridge, at 9am, the walk meanders through London via Elephant and Castle, into the Surrey countryside before reaching the final destination of the iconic Epsom Downs Racecourse. Refreshments can be found along the way and a delicious buffet style meal will be waiting for you at the end! All proceeds raised from ticket sales will be donated to the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA).

There are three package options to participate in The Derby Walk;
£15 – Walk and raise your own funds for charity. This includes a congratulatory drink at the Winning Post, as well as a delicious buffet meal. £25 – Walk and £10 donation to the RDA.
