NEW SCOTTISH SENSATIONS, 'WHITE ACE' GET SET TO ROCK THE DERBY

Winners of AYRPLAY 2008; Scotland's Burns Showcase for New Bands Competition, White Ace will now be performing at Britain's Biggest Day Out; Derby Day on Saturday June 7th 2008.

The young rockers from Glasgow recently battled it out against 60 other bands to open the stage at this year's Burns Rock at the Racecourse in the Scottish coastal town of Ayr; supporting rock legends Status Quo with special guest 'From the Jam.'

Performing since 2005, they have already notched up an impressive portfolio of gigs, including Liverpool's legendary 'Cavern Club' and have supported the likes of US rock band Rose Hill Drive and The Stone Gods.

Lead Guitarist, Chris McCabe, says "The band are really looking forward to performing on stage and rocking the crowd at Britain's Biggest Day Out!"

White Ace will be performing on Epsom's infamous Hill with bands including AYRPLAY competition finalists, The Acutones together with X Factor finalists, Hope and 70's soul group, Hot Chocolate.
