Epsom town's third Derby Festival starts on Sunday 25 May 2008 with a huge variety of activities taking place throughout Epsom. The Festival culminates with the world's greatest flat race held at Epsom Racecourse on Saturday 7 June.
Events include a free Derby Festival Fun Day at The Ebbisham Centre on Wednesday 28 May and 'A Taste of Epsom' in the Market Place on Wednesday 4 June. A 'Taste of Epsom' will showcase local food retailers and restaurants, giving customers the opportunity to sample the wide range of food available in the town.
The popular Farmers Market will be held on the Market Place on Sunday 1 June and The Ebbisham Centre will be hosting live music events from Tuesday 3 until Thursday 5 June.
The Epsom Playhouse will be featuring a spectacular line up of stars and shows throughout the festival including Lee Evans, Tim Vine, Dancing Queen, The Sooty Show, Digby Fairweather, Paul Jones and Ola Onabule.
Many more events and activities are currently being planned and may include behind the scenes tours and informative talks on some local venues and stores and a High School Musical open air event.
The Mall Ashley will also be holding a Ladies Day Fashion Show in the shopping centre on Saturday 10 May. This will be an excellent chance to get ready for the season's racing and start thinking of that new outfit.
